Kydex is the material used to make this holster as well as many other popular holsters on the market today. The advantages to kydex holsters are the versatility, simplicity, and durability. Kydex holsters will still work in the most extreme conditions, and won't be affected by sand or debris nearly as much as many other holsters on the market. You never have to worry about fumbling for a strap or a button, just one quick tug and the weapon pops free. Also, kydex holsters are some of the most durable holsters available, the plastic is capable of flexing slightly, meaning it takes a lot of pressure to snap or crack it.

Thank you for considering this product from GMI Holsters "Safe.
