Expedition 3P Ski Poles

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying: "I take the Expedition 3 when I want a reliable, do-everything pole for ski touring and resort sidecountry. The dual FlickLocks never slip—even in cold conditions—and the extended foam grip is perfect for quick hand placement changes on the skin track. The beak on the grip is surprisingly handy for binding adjustments, and the pole packs down small enough to stash on the pack when I’m booting up a ridge."We count on the Black Diamond Expedition 3 Ski Poles for everything from dawn patrol laps to deep midwinter tours. The three-section aluminum construction gives us dependable durability in variable mountain conditions, while dual FlickLock adjusters allow quick length changes whether we're traversing steep switchbacks or dropping into rolling terrain. With extended EVA foam grips, we can shift our hands effortlessly without needing to re-adjust pole length every time the slope angle changes. Thoughtful details make long days more efficient. The straight-edge grip top scrapes snow and ice from our skis, the tactile rubber beak helps us fine-tune binding risers and buckles on the fly, and powder baskets float well in soft snow. When it’s time to stash them, the Expedition 3 collapses compactly and lashes easily to a pack—ready for the next climb or descent.
