Bicycle Brake Caliper Conversion Kit for U-Brakes - Front/Rear Compatibility

Dia-Compe AD-990 to FS-990 caliper conversion kit This kit allows you to take a AD-990 caliper (which is a rear U-brake caliper) and make it a FS-990 (which is a front, bottom cable routing U-brake caliper). AD-990's have changed over the years - so there are two different kinds of caliper arms. Some AD-990's have BOTH arms have the knarp holders on the ends while others have one arm with a knarp holder and the other with a hole for a cable anchor bolt. As of Aug 11th, 2014, we have updated this kit to include the pivoting barrel adjuster so that EITHER TYPE CAN BE CONVERTED using this kit. We do not provide technical support with our products - it is always recommended that all parts we sell be installed by a professional bicycle mechanic. However, the parts included should be self explanatory to anyone familiar with U-brakes.
