1.If the brake cannot be locked in a timely manner or the disc brake produces a sharp noise, new brake pads and discs should be installed.
2.Before installing new brake pads, the caliper pistons must be pushed completely back into their housing after the old pads are removed. Failure to do this will result in insufficient clearance, preventing the new pads from fitting properly.
3. If the new brake pads still seem too thick to fit comfortably, slightly sand the outer surface of the brake pad material or perform a brake calibration.
