One Recoil Kit comes with one of each:
- 7 lb Round Wire Recoil Spring
- 9 Ib Round Wire Recoil Spring
- 10 lb Round Wire Recoil Spring
- 11 lb Round Wire Recoil Spring
This recoil spring tuning kit features genuine ISMI round wire springs, specifically designed for the SA Prodigy 5.0 Government model. Included in the kit are 7 lb, 9 lb, 10 lb, and 11 lb ISMI recoil springs, allowing you to fine-tune your pistol’s recoil system to match your ammunition and shooting style.
The 7 lb spring is ideal for light loads, offering a softer shooting experience and quicker cycling.
The 9, 10, and 11 lb springs are perfect for hotter loads, such as Major Power Factor or +P ammunition, helping you manage recoil and maintain control under heavier recoil forces.
***This kit isn't limited to the Prodigy—it’s also compatible with most other 9mm 5" 1911 or 2011 platforms. Whether you're looking for smoother cycling or enhanced reliability, this kit helps you optimize your setup for peak performance.***
ISMI's proprietary design features enhance the spring's ability to hold the pistol in battery longer when fired to maximize energy dispersion and reduce sight movement. All ISMI Springs are made from silicone chrome instead of 150 year old music wire.
Every ISMI spring is heat treated, shot peened & stress relieved to enhance durability, consistency and reliability. ISMI is a contractor of the U.S. government and produces springs used in machine guns with incredibly high cycling rates. Also, the creator of ISMI springs obtained his knowledge from extensive research in the development of springs used in Indy car racing.
A note from the manufacturer: Maximum Service Temperature of ISMI's material goes up to 700 degrees. Music wire has a maximum service temperature of 250 degrees and can be negatively affected at temperatures as low as 175 degrees. This is important because temperatures approaching, or exceeding, the maximum service temperature are highly detrimental to spring life.
