Details: The Rock Exotica rockSteel Auto-Lock Black Carabiner is a heavy-duty steel carabiner that offers a surprising strength-to-weight ratio in a carabiner of its capacity. Most steel carabiners are made from 1/2 diameter steel. We use a lighter, 7/16” diameter steel that is heat treated for added strength. With a minimum breaking strength (MBS) of 50kN, it’s built to handle the toughest conditions. The auto-locking gate makes it easy to and secure gear, with a wide 1.2-inch opening for large ropes and tools. Weighing only 8.80 oz, this large carabiner is both strong and lightweight.
