The Wilson Combat fitting jig is an essential tool for anyone looking to install a full-fit beavertail grip safety, such as the Wilson Combat #298 high-ride, that will require some hand fitting to be accomplished during the install.

This Wilson tool ensures that your firearm frame is filed precisely, allowing you to achieve a perfect fit every time. 

The fitting jig securely mounts onto your hammer and thumb safety pin holes, and serves as a filing guide to help you avoid over-cutting the frame.

DISCLAIMER: Wilson Combat 1911 small parts may require minor fitting and should only be installed by a qualified gunsmith. Although these parts are intended to be drop-in, due to the range of tolerances between various manufacturers' handguns, some fitting may occasionally be necessary. We highly recommend all fitting/installation of small parts is done by a professional gunsmith.

- The Wilson beavertail fitting jig mounts to the hammer and thumb safety pin holes to serve as a filing guide to help prevent over cutting of the frame. Once this cut is made, only a few thousandths remain for final fitting to a perfect match.

- Complete instructions included on the use of the fitting jig and how to properly install a Wilson's beavertail grip safety.

-  BEFORE ORDERING, PLEASE BE ADVISED:   All 1911 parts may or may not require hand fitting.  You, as buyer, must be prepared to have an experienced / qualified gunsmith to properly install ALL 1911 parts. The 1911s can be very troublesome for the novice and many parts do not simply DROP IN ... many have to be hand fit.  As buyer, you need to keep in mind that we do not accept returns for used, modified, installed, damaged parts in any way.  We only accept returns on NEW items that have not been used AT ALL.  Please make sure you understand these issues before ordering or attempting an install any parts bought on Rock Mountain Tactical's e-store sites.
